Hey Mamas, I’d like to introduce you all to Cheyenne. She is the beautiful mama of 14 month-old Winter. Cheyenne is a Byron Shire expat, now living on the shores of Sydney. She has travelled the world, she’s been a model (no surprise there, she’s a total stunner!) and now together with her partner, Chef Tom Walton, she is the co-owner of Dux Nutts, an organic muesli company that is quickly becoming a favourite among Aussie foodies.Cheyenne is a busy mama running the family business while also making sure Winter gets plenty of special one-on-one Mama time. Let’s celebrate Cheyenne for her dedication to her family, to healthy organic food and to good times with friends and family.
“My strongest passion is a simple one, I love spending quality time with my friends and family.”
“The thing I love the most about being a mama is watching my daughter grow, change and develop. [It] has to be the most amazing thing I have experienced before. Winter is 14 months so her personality is starting to shine through and its a delight to witness. My darkest moment would have to be when Winter was about 4 months old and just didn’t stop crying all day and into the night, nothing I did would make her stop so all I could do was join her and start crying myself. My fiancé came home to me outside at 8pm swinging on the swing with Winter in the park in the rain as it was the only thing that made her be calm. I was a mess ! Lucky he came home with a new outlook and took over so i could calm down. An amazing support for me was of course my family and friends however another amazing source of support came from my mothers group. As I am the first of my friends in Sydney to have a child, it was nice meeting a group of women my age who had babies around the same time as me and jumping over the same hurdles as I was. I have made some amazing friends from mothers group and so has Winter which is wonderful to watch. Winnie loves animals and she does this thing when she likes something whether it is a book or a teddy etc… she will back herself up and sits on it. This doesn’t go so well when she tries to sit on random people’s pets.. [E]very day Winnie makes me laugh at some new thing she is doing or some new face she is pulling. If I could change one thing about the world for my babies it would be compassion! If there was more compassion in the world then there would be less anger and judgment and the world would be just a little bit better.I want to teach my babies that women are strong, independent, powerful and confident creatures who can achieve just as much as any man. My perfect day would go like this… a sleep in, followed by tea and toast, no cleaning all day, a big picnic in the park with friends and family and a quiet dinner at home…. Perfect. My baby’s daddy rocks because he is so wonderful with Winter and always makes time for her and never runs off if she needs one more hug or wants to play for 5 more minutes, he would rather be late than leave Winnie upset. What gets me through the toughest days is knowing that tomorrow will be a fresh new day and the challenges I had today won’t be there in the same way tomorrow.
